The Triathlon is an event that encourages children from the Franklin District to challenge themselves & enjoy the experience of taking part in one of New Zealand's fastest growing sports.
It is an annual event that we have been involved with for 9 years. It attracts 400 School Aged Competitors and 500 plus parents/ supporters each year. It is a great community event supported by Schools, Local Police, Auckland Council, Surf Lifesaving NZ and other businesses and people in the community.
We have formed a volunteer committee to organize and run the event. All proceeds from the Triathlon get reinvested in sports in the Franklin Area. Every child who participates is awarded a medal, certificate and a goodie bag for completing. In 2016 the event was oversubscribed and we were forced to close entries early. Please enter as soon as possible to avoid missing out.
Participants take part as individuals, not in teams.
REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN.
NB: Entries are limited and will close once full capacity is reached.
Due to a high risk water quality alert at Clarks Beach we are unable to complete Swim Leg of the event this year. We will be replacing it with a short additional run leg (8 - 10 years olds 300m and 10 - 12 years olds 400m)
